Each Filteroo® Superoo is handmade by world-class craftsmen. These quality stainless steel water filters have been purposely designed to give the owner the best water filtration experience possible from a steel gravity water filter.
The filters are created in 4 separate parts, so they are very easy to assemble and operate. Each part sits neatly into the other to create a strong sturdy filtration system. The stand, the bottom tank, the top tank & the lid.
It is comforting to know that the Filteroo® Superoo will never leak as the top and bottom tank configurations have been uniquely purposely designed, so the top tank installs inside the bottom tank, which means this system can hold double the water volume of normal stainless steel systems and can never, ever leak.
The filter system is made from a non-toxic 304 stainless steel. The nice smooth surface both inside & out makes it very easy to wipe them clean.

The honest truth is we started to purchase every Stainless Steel gravity water filter we could get our hands on from around the world and then filled them with acidic water to test them.

BE AWARE
Beware - Not all Stainless Steel gravity water filters are the same. Some brands do rust out. We learnt the hard way.
The other trick is some suppliers will advertise they have 12, 18 or 24 litre gravity water filters. This is only correct IF the bottom tank will hold those volumes of water. As most stainless steel gravity water filters have the top tank sitting on top of the bottom tank, the maximum volume of water those filters can hold is as the Filteroo® Steel gravity water filters are advertised. 6 litre, 9 litre & 12 litre.
So when you see a 12 litre system, that is really a 6 litre bottom tank holding capacity. An 18 litre system is really holding 9 litres & the 24 litre system will only store 12 litres of water inside the bottom holding tank.
If you fill any Stainless Steel gravity water filter with more water than the bottom tank can hold, the excess water can leak out onto the bench. Except for the specially designed Filteroo® Superoo which can never ever leak.
The Superoo has a total capacity of 12, 16, or 20 litres, with the bottom tank holding 6, 8, or 10 litres and the top concealed tank accommodating an additional 6, 8, or 10 litres. And once the water is used from the bottom tank the water will automatically naturally filter down into the bottom tank ready to use. Perfect…

Cartridge Setup Instructions
When installing or replacing any water filtration cartridges, ensure you know what you are doing or have a qualified person to help you or contact us for assistance. Please find paper instructions inside every cartridge box.

Cleanliness is important. Wash hands before handling the cartridge and take care to ensure that no contamination of the cartridge occurs during assembly.

Pre prime the cartridge as instructed in the priming instructions..

Use a glove or similar so your hands don't touch the cartridge as much as possible.

Remove the locking nut & leave the sealing washer over the threaded stem.
-
Place the filter candle thread through the hole in the upper section of the top housing from the inside out and secure it with the wing nut.
-
Do not overtighten.
-
Ensure that the outlet tap is in the off position.
-
Fill the upper chamber with cold water and allow this to filter down through to the lower section.
-
It is recommended that this first supply of filtered water is thrown away, as it may contain material washed from the filter element.
-
Some black carbon fines may be seen when first using but this is harmless & will stop fast.

Fill the upper chamber again, open the outlet tap and allow this water to run to waste again.
-
We recommend flowing at least 12 litres of water through the cartridge to waste until it is tasty and flowing clear.

What is the Filteroo® Max Fluoride Removal Gravity Water Filter Cartridge?
The Filteroo® MAX fluoride removal cartridges are designed to effectively remove fluoride from drinking water. By allowing water to flow slowly through the cartridge, it ensures maximum contact time with the media, which enhances fluoride removal. These cartridges, made by Omnipure in the USA, are easy to attach to the thread of your Filteroo® rain & city water gravity carbon block cartridge and hang inside the bottom tank of your Filteroo® Steel gravity water filter.

Lifespan
Each Filteroo® MAX fluoride removal cartridge lasts for 2000 litres. So if you have 2 x cartridges installed into your Filteroo® Steel gravity water filter you have 4000 litres of use. 2 cartridges will provide 10 plus litres every day of the year. We recommend you replace each cartridge after 2000 litres or every 12 months which ever comes first.
Maintenance and Replacement of Cartridges
Long Lasting Service Life Of 12 Months
Cartridges are very easy to replace and only have to be changed over once per year. When this time comes around we will be in contact with you, so its basically hands free water filtration if you deal with us.
How to install the Filteroo Max Fluoride Removal Gravity Water Filter Cartridge
1. Remove the plastic wrapping whilst keeping the cartridge clean. (Wash the cartridge outside if required before removing the thread end caps)
2. Remove the end caps from each end of the cartridge.
3. Sit the rubber flushing washer over the hole on 1 end of the cartridge. Hold the cartridge and washer as you press it up against the tap spout to get a good seal. Gently turn on the cold water and allow the water to flow into the cartridge & then out the other end to flush the fine particles out of the cartridge. Flush continuously for 1 minute.
4. Turn the cartridge around and repeat above. Flush for a further 1 minute & ensure that the water flows clear. Repeat this process for all the Filteroo® MAX fluoride removal cartridges you intend to install.
5. Once the cartridge is flushed, lift the top tank off your Filteroo® Steel bottom tank & sit the top tank upside down on the bench top. The Filteroo® MAX Fluoride Removal cartridge screws directly onto the exposed carbon cartridge threaded stem already installed. (Note - Only 1 end of the cartridge has a thread). The cartridge MUST be installed by the threaded end. Screw on the cartridge gently ensuring you do not cross the thread. Tighten until firm. Do not over tighten.
6. Once the Filteroo® MAX fluoride removal cartridges have been installed, place the top tank back onto the bottom tank. The fluoride cartridges hang down inside the bottom tank. Now fill the top tank with water and allow that water to filter down through both the Filteroo® carbon cartridge & the Filteroo® MAX fluoride removal cartridges.
7. Once the top tank water has emptied into the bottom tank. Discharge that water to waste or onto the garden.
How to Assemble Your Superoo
What Makes This Product Unique
It is the design with the top tank concealed inside the bottom tank that makes this gravity water filter so unique. We are not aware of any other Stainless Steel gravity water filters like the Superoo. It is just so easy to use, you can simply top it up any time you like with no risk of leaking like normal stainless steel gravity filters. With the concealed 8 litre top tank, as you use the filtered water from the bottom tank, the water automatically filters down from the top tank into the bottom tank.
Combine that, with the slow gravity filtration process to remove the contaminants, whilst at the same time retaining the healthy minerals in the water for us to consume.
When not used
If the filter is left to stand for more than 3 - 4 days without use, it is recommended that one litre of water be allowed to flow through the cartridge to waste before using.
Highly recommended for rainwater & city water supplies treated with chlorine or chloramine. If your water is treated with or contains Fluoride, you might want to check out the option which will remove the fluoride, and utilise the Filteroo® Max fluoride removal cartridge that connects directly onto the bottom of the carbon cartridge.

Fully Disposable Cartridges
You can break up the old cartridges with a hammer into small pieces and put the crushed carbon into the garden, then place the plastic end caps into the recycling bin. Or, simply wrap your worn-out cartridges up in old newspaper and place them into your rubbish bin.

Cartridge Setup Instructions
When installing or replacing any water filtration cartridges, ensure you know what you are doing or have a qualified person to help you or contact us for assistance. Please find paper instructions inside every cartridge box.

Cleanliness is important. Wash hands before handling the cartridge and take care to ensure that no contamination of the cartridge occurs during assembly.

Pre prime the cartridge as instructed in the priming instructions..

Use a glove or similar so your hands don't touch the cartridge as much as possible.

Remove the locking nut & leave the sealing washer over the threaded stem.

Place the filter candle thread through the hole in the upper section of the top housing from the inside out and secure it with the wing nut.

Do not overtighten.

Ensure that the outlet tap is in the off position.

Fill the upper chamber with cold water and allow this to filter down through to the lower section.

It is recommended that this first supply of filtered water is thrown away, as it may contain material washed from the filter element.

Some black carbon fines may be seen when first using but this is harmless & will stop fast.

Fill the upper chamber again, open the outlet tap and allow this water to run to waste again.

We recommend flowing at least 12 litres of water through the cartridge to waste until it is tasty and flowing clear.

What is the Filteroo® Max Fluoride Removal Gravity Water Filter Cartridge?
The Filteroo® MAX fluoride removal cartridges are designed to effectively remove fluoride from drinking water. By allowing water to flow slowly through the cartridge, it ensures maximum contact time with the media, which enhances fluoride removal. These cartridges, made by Omnipure in the USA, are easy to attach to the thread of your Filteroo® rain & city water gravity carbon block cartridge and hang inside the bottom tank of your Filteroo® Steel gravity water filter.

Each Filteroo® MAX fluoride removal cartridge lasts for 2000 litres. So if you have 2 x cartridges installed into your Filteroo® Steel gravity water filter you have 4000 litres of use. 2 cartridges will provide 10 plus litres every day of the year. We recommend you replace each cartridge after 2000 litres or every 12 months which ever comes first.

Cartridges are very easy to replace and only have to be changed over once per year. When this time comes around we will be in contact with you, so its basically hands free water filtration if you deal with us.
How to install the Filteroo Max Fluoride Removal Gravity Water Filter Cartridge
1. Remove the plastic wrapping whilst keeping the cartridge clean. (Wash the cartridge outside if required before removing the thread end caps)
2. Remove the end caps from each end of the cartridge.
3. Sit the rubber flushing washer over the hole on 1 end of the cartridge. Hold the cartridge and washer as you press it up against the tap spout to get a good seal. Gently turn on the cold water and allow the water to flow into the cartridge & then out the other end to flush the fine particles out of the cartridge. Flush continuously for 1 minute.
4. Turn the cartridge around and repeat above. Flush for a further 1 minute & ensure that the water flows clear. Repeat this process for all the Filteroo® MAX fluoride removal cartridges you intend to install.
5. Once the cartridge is flushed, lift the top tank off your Filteroo® Steel bottom tank & sit the top tank upside down on the bench top. The Filteroo® MAX Fluoride Removal cartridge screws directly onto the exposed carbon cartridge threaded stem already installed. (Note - Only 1 end of the cartridge has a thread). The cartridge MUST be installed by the threaded end. Screw on the cartridge gently ensuring you do not cross the thread. Tighten until firm. Do not over tighten.
6. Once the Filteroo® MAX fluoride removal cartridges have been installed, place the top tank back onto the bottom tank. The fluoride cartridges hang down inside the bottom tank. Now fill the top tank with water and allow that water to filter down through both the Filteroo® carbon cartridge & the Filteroo® MAX fluoride removal cartridges.
7. Once the top tank water has emptied into the bottom tank. Discharge that water to waste or onto the garden.

What Makes This Product Unique
It is the design with the top tank concealed inside the bottom tank that makes this gravity water filter so unique. We are not aware of any other Stainless Steel gravity water filters like the Superoo. It is just so easy to use, you can simply top it up any time you like with no risk of leaking like normal stainless steel gravity filters. With the concealed 8 litre top tank, as you use the filtered water from the bottom tank, the water automatically filters down from the top tank into the bottom tank.
Combine that, with the slow gravity filtration process to remove the contaminants, whilst at the same time retaining the healthy minerals in the water for us to consume.
When not used
If the filter is left to stand for more than 3 - 4 days without use, it is recommended that one litre of water be allowed to flow through the cartridge to waste before using.
Highly recommended for rainwater & city water supplies treated with chlorine or chloramine. If your water is treated with or contains Fluoride, you might want to check out the option which will remove the fluoride, and utilise the Filteroo® Max fluoride removal cartridge that connects directly onto the bottom of the carbon cartridge.
